Obituary of Anthony J. Tufo

SEARSPORT ANTHONY J. TUFO, 90, passed away on February 13, 2016 in Belfast. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 3, 1925, to Ignazio and Stanzia (Colantuono) Tufo. He was a U.S. Marine veteran who served during WWII from 1943-1946. Anthony owned a construction company in Boston before retiring to Searsport in 2007. He was predeceased in 2010 by his wife, Mary (Nobilio) Tufo and in 2012, a son Glenn, a Marine veteran. Anthony is survived by his children, Ronald Tufo of Searsport, Gary Tufo of Searsport, Mark Tufo of Swanville, Lyndsey Tufo of Lincolnville; a daughter-in-law Sandy Tufo of Kernersville, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 20th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Private interment will be at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
