Obituary of Donald Greenlaw Davis

Donald Greenlaw Davis, 86, of Deer Isle, passed away July 5, 2016 at Island Nursing Home. Don was predeceased by his parents Gwendolyn and Harry, Sr. and sister Marilyn Snelling. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Blanche Marie; two daughters Eva R Davis of Bangor and Sheila F Davis of Deer Isle; two sons: Thomas Simmons, with 3 children, all of Sedgwick, and Gifford A. Proper, III, with Dawn Bray and one child, all of Deer Isle; step-children: Richard, Delwyn Nevells and Cindy N. Lash; two siblings: Harry R Davis, Jr. with wife Pricilla and Frank G Davis with wife Charlotte W., all of Deer Isle; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins from the combined families, and his first wife, Charlotte Campbell. Don's memorial service will be held at Mt. Adams Cemetery on King Row, Deer Isle, with Dowe Eaton officiating. Take the first entrance and the Greenlaw Plot is to the left. Date has been moved to August 7th at 1:30pm (weather permitting). There will also be a gathering at Island Nursing Home for friends and family.
