Obituary of Louis A. Chilly

Please share a memory of Louis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lou Chilly, 69, formerly of Guilford, went to be with the Lord on August 24. Lou passed peacefully with his wife and children in his Pittston home. He is survived by his wife, Judy and his two sisters, Tamara and Patricia. He will be fondly missed by his children, Jason Chilly (wife Kristen), Mary Hearns (husband Paul), Mike Chilly (wife Brooke),Tamra Coley (husband Ken), Kim Becker (husband Matt), and Lou Chilly. Lou loved to spend time with his seventeen grandchildren and enjoyed sharing Jesus and sipping tea with them. In fact, he would share the gospel with anybody he ran into. After Lou was honorably discharged from the Army, he worked at Bic Pen in Milford, Connecticut, where he met his wife, Judy. Lou moved his new wife and family to Guilford in 1978 and ran the Guilford Laundromat while working at Guilford Industries. Lou worked various jobs, including carpentry and cutting wood. Lou volunteered at YBA basketball as a Coach and mentor to aspiring young athletes for many years. Lou raised his family and graduated his children from PCHS. Once Lou and Judy's nest was empty, they moved to St. Augustine, Florida until moving back to Maine in 2018. Lou's Celebration of Life will be held on September 4 at 3 p.m. at the end the hunting camp road, 635 Bangor Road, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Following a ceremony at the end of the road, friends are welcome to join the family for a walk to the camp to continue sharing stories and reminiscing while surrounded by nature at Lou's favorite spot.
