Obituary of Frank Alan Preo
Frank Alan Preo of Waterville left this world Friday May 3rd due to health complications and early onset dementia. Frank spent his childhood in Augusta Maine and attended St. Mary’s School. Frank was very involved with drumming and sports and had lots of neighborhood friends. He was very gifted musically and could play flute, piano, guitar and drums.
Frank married his first wife Karen and had two children and raised them in Vassalboro where they built their first house. Karen died suddenly in 1994 and it devastated Frank and his family. Frank took up gardening after Karen’s death and really honed in on his craft. He would grow a gigantic crop to can and give away to his loved ones. Frank also learned how to cook and would make every Holiday meal for his family. His holiday hams were incredible! Frank spent most of his career life as a reset specialist in grocery stores and really took pride in his work. When Frank sold his home in vassalboro he moved around a bit and finally settled in Waterville. He was always close to his children but was especially close with his only son Chad who helped him tremendously in the last years of his life.
Frank is predeceased by his father Charles Preo and his mother Lorette Lajoie and her second husband Wilfred Lajoie. Also his brother in laws Bob Rancourt and Ronald Breton and his first wife Karen Preo.
Frank is survived by his big brother Fred Preo and Fred’s wife Rachael, His darling big sister Charlene Breton and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Children, Jaime Pooler, her husband Mark and their children Bentley and Bianca and Frank’s son Chad Preo.
Lastly Frank is survived by his ex wife and longtime companion Jackie Preo.
If Frank's family could give any words of advice after his death it would be to always take care of your health and stay close to your families so in the end they can advocate for you when you no longer can for yourself.
A burial service will be determined at a later date.
