Obituary of Nancy L. Long

Nancy Long was born August 5th, 1934 in Boothbay Harbor. She was the daughter of Parker and Carrie Bennet Brewer.  Nancy Grew up in and attended local schools and graduated from Boothbay High School in 1952. While attending school, she was a cheerleader and sang in the school chorus. She loved to sing and was in the senior minstrel.

During the summer you could see her outside swimming at West Harbor Pond and in the winter you could find her out ice skating or watching the horse races with her friends.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband John F Long SR., who passed January 2, 2004. They met in 1955 and were married December 11, 1956 in Key West, Florida.

Mrs. Long is survived by her five children, Parker Long and his wife Donna of Geneva Florida; John F Long Jr. and his wife Zandy of Boothbay; Scott Long of Wiscasset; Carrie Stafford of South China, Maine, and Andrea Long of South China, Maine. She also had 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was cared for by her daughter Carrie from 2014 until she passed.

A private burial will be held on December 11th at 2pm at Veterans Memorial Cemetery where she will be put to rest next to her beloved husband. Memories and condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
