Orrin Harry “Harry” Palmer Jr. passed away on August 15, 2026. He was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend.

Harry was married to Kathy Palmer, and together they raised two children, Sarah Elaine Hopwood and Orrin Harry Palmer III, in Topsham, Maine.  

Harry served his country as a United States Marine. After his military service, he spent the majority of his working life at AEC Engineering in Freeport, Maine, where he built a long and dedicated career.

Harry had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and for the people and places that made Maine special to him. He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, camping, and spending time in northern Maine with his cousins and friends. Many of his fondest memories were made there, surrounded by the woods, the outdoors, and those around him.

Harry is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children, Sarah and Orrin; his son-in-law, Sean; his daughter-in-law, Veronica; his granddaughter, MacKenzie; and his grandsons, Orrin IV, Vance, Everett, and Asher. He is also survived by his five sisters, who were with him during his final moments, along with numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends. His memory and name will continue through the generations that follow him.
