Vance Michael Cyr Obituary

Vance Michael Cyr

VASSALBORO – Vance Michael Cyr, 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026,

at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.

Born on March 24, 1969, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Vance was the son of Helen (Short)

Waldron and Richard Roland Cyr, both of whom predeceased him. He attended Cony High

School before life's journey led him down a different path.

Vance was a gifted mechanic and craftsman who found joy in working with his hands. Whether

he was restoring an old truck, tinkering under the hood of a car, or creating something beautiful

in his woodworking shop, he was happiest when he was building, fixing, and creating. He wore

every scraped knuckle like a badge of honor and took pride in seeing an old truck come back to

life or admiring a handcrafted piece made with his own two hands. Those who knew Vance

understood that this was where he felt most at home.

On June 15, 2018, Vance married Natalie Trepanier. Natalie, who passed away on April 18,

2026, was his rock, his love, and his guiding light. Her passing left an immeasurable void in his

life. Even in the midst of his own grief, Vance's compassionate nature never wavered. He

lovingly cared for Natalie's sister, Sonia, providing much of the daily support she depended

upon.

He is survived by his son, Jeromy Cyr and his wife, Denise, and their two sons, Dominic and

Kole; his daughters, Amber Lynn Cyr and Melissa Ann Cyr; his twin brother, Vince M. Cyr; his

stepbrother, Anthony Wyman; and many extended family members and friends who will forever

cherish his memory.

A celebration of Vance's life will be announced at a later date. It is the family's hope that he will

be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Natalie, in their family plot in Waterville.

Vance will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and selfless willingness to help

anyone in need. He found fulfillment not in seeking recognition but in caring for those he loved.

His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the

privilege of knowing him.
