Ronny P. Pelletier Obituary

Ronny Patrick Pelletier December 6, 1955 – May 21, 2026

Ronny Patrick Pelletier, 70, of Unity, Maine, passed away peacefully in the

presence of his family on May 21, 2026. Ronny was born December 6, 1955, in

Waterville, to Lomer and Joyce Pelletier (Palmer).

Ronny grew up in Waterville; he enjoyed the thrill of racing and all that came with

it; a good burnout, the roar of an engine, old cars, and Chevy trucks. This is where

he learned his mechanical skills trackside surrounded by his brothers and sisters. A

passion that never left him. In 2023, Ronny got behind the wheel of his father's

race car one last time and anyone who knew him, knew that meant the world to

Ronny and to his father, Lomer Pelletier, Maine Motorsports Hall of Fame

inductee and a legend in the local racing community.

In his younger years, Ronny lived wild and free. He loved to tell stories of his

glory days and jokes to anyone that would listen. Stories of living life wide open,

with the wind in his hair, while riding his Harley on just one wheel for miles down

KMD; back when there were more trees than buildings. Ronny lived life on his

own terms, his personality and what he loved the most is what defined him as a

man. You could also find him surrounded by his “buddies” and his brother Ricky

watching a race or sitting outside listening to the song of what they called the

“cheese-bur-ger bird,”. If you listen closely, you’ll hear it too.

Above all, Ronny will be known for his love of chocolate the most. Three

Musketeers, devil dogs and ginger ale were almost always on the menu. You could

usually find a bag of mini candy bars in the fridge.

Ronny leaves behind his father, Lomer Pelletier and his life partner Rose Chase,

his daughter Danylle Pelletier (Erika Veilleux), her children Quenten and Olyvia

Kelley, his sisters Lyla Carlow (Skeet) and Lindy Pelletier (Vicki Mitchell) his ex-

wife Carol Jean Pelletier, stepdaughters Ashley Fitzpatrick and Shannon Gilley,

stepson Jeremey Lee. Grandchildren Cylas Hudon, Eleena, Kaden, and Mckayla

Lee, and Raven Fitzpatrick, who he enjoyed their Sunday breakfast, a good

chocolate milk and sometimes a burnout.

Ronny was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Pelletier (Palmer); his brothers

Ricky (Richard); Randy and Robert (Pete) Pelletier; and his warm and loving sister

Laurie Poulin (Pelletier).

The family would like to thank Rhonda Robinson for being his first love and Carol

Jean his last love who spent over three decades with him for loving Ronny with

your whole hearts.

Ronny will be peacefully laid to rest with his family in Saint Francis Cemetery in

Waterville, Maine. There will be a private graveside ceremony followed by a

celebration of life. The celebration of life will be at the Winslow VFW on Sunday

July 12 th at 1 pm. If anyone has photographs of Ronny to share with his family,

please bring them.
