Bill was an amazing man, filled with kindness and compassion. I always new that my daughters were safe with him when going to/from school. He watched out for "his" kids and always made sure I was home before driving off, never leaving them alone, and calling me if I wasn't there to make sure i would be home soon and leaving the girls was safe. A few times he parked the bus in my driveway and came in to visit. We often gave him baked muffins, cookies, etc. and always celebrated him by having gifts for him at Christmas time, to let him know how much we loved and appreciated him. I had to beg him, many times, not to retire until after my girls graduated. Once they graduated, he retired. He was such a gentle soul. He talked often of his wife, children and grandchildren and it was obvious how much he loved and cherished them. My sincerely condolences to his family, you were truly blessed to have him as a father, grandfather and uncle. He was a special man.
