Leah Maura Poirier,  born December 17, 1994, transitioned out of this life early March 2nd, 2026. She is returning into the loving arms of her father awaiting her, as he was 31 years ago.

First born daughter and only child of Ryan and Debra (Gendreau) Poirier. She was raised and resided in Embden, Maine.

Attending local schools, she graduated with honors from Carrabec High School,  class of 2013. Her father, Ryan, passed unexpectedly in January of 2014. Later that year, in December of 2014, Leah was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. That became a life struggle.  She survived eleven years under that weight.

Leah lived for adventure and being surrounded by nature. She loved the great outdoors! Everything from the waving ocean to the climb up mountain tops.

Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories. Leah knew that to get the full value of joy, you must have someone to share it with.  She is too well loved to ever be forgotten.  Leah is remembered for her fun-loving nature and being friends with everyone and anyone in need. More than a gift, she is a treasure. 

Leah is survived by her mother, aunts, uncles, cousins and her special family of friends. She is truly a free spirit and in peace.

Sunday March 29th, 2026, 1-4 pm will be a celebration of life, taking place at the Embden Community Center. Arrangements made by close friends and posted on facebook by Hannah (Ames) Merrill. A simple green cremation service provided by Direct Cremation of Maine.
