Jean Webbert, Augusta, Maine - November 15, 1940 - February 28, 2026
Jean Webbert, 85, died peacefully at her home in Augusta, Maine after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Jean Patricia Arnott on November 15, 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts to William and Irene Arnott. Raised in Townsend, Massachusetts she attended Spaulding Memorial School until her high school graduation in 1958.
She attended Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner, MA, graduating with an Associates in Arts in 1972. Later in 1974 she graduated from U Mass Boston with a BA in Sociology.
Jean worked in Human Resources throughout Massachusetts and the Greater Boston area, retiring from Cambridge Health Alliance in 2005. Upon retirement, she and her husband John moved to Clearwater, Florida.
She was a member of North East Human Resources Association in Boston as well as a member and officer of the Elks in Dunedin, Florida.
In 2025 Jean moved to Augusta, Maine to be closer to her children.
She is predeceased by her parents Bill and Irene; her daughter Kathleen Webbert in 2003 and her husband John Barron in 2009.
Jean is survived by her husband Laurier Pitre of Miramichi, New Brunswick; son Michael Webbert of Townsend, MA; daughter Deborah Profit and husband David of Poinciana, FL; daughter Lee Arnott of Gardiner, ME; grandson William Webbert of Bath, ME; granddaughter Nicole Webbert of Topsham, ME; great-granddaughter Millie Webbert of Bath, ME as well as Jean’s extended Canadian family.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Maine General Hospice. A private burial will be held at a later date.
