Nancy Ann Walker Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nancy Ann Walker, 67, of Madison. Nancy passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on February 25th, 2026, after a brief illness. Nancy was born on December 5th, 1958, in Rochester, New Hampshire to parents Joseph and Annette Daigle (King). She attended Skowhegan Area High School where she graduated in 1976. She spent her early adult years, after graduating high school, working at Norrwock Shoe Co., where she worked until she had her one and only son, Wade, who was the light in her life. She truly loved being ‘Wade’s mom’ and was fortunate enough to spend his entire childhood caring for him at home. In her later adult life, she became a Certified Nurse’s Aide; she took great pride in this professional role and cared a tremendous amount for all the patients she tended to along the way during her career.

Nancy was overjoyed by being a Grammy to her four grandchildren, Kamdyn, Owen, Raegan, and Remi. She will forever be missed by ‘her babies’ and her spirit will continue to live on through them. They will continue to look for Grammy within the butterflies. Nancy also enjoyed spending time with her close family, friends and her feline companions, Max and Milo, who she lovingly referred to as, ‘her boys’. Nancy thoroughly enjoyed quiet days at home, watching Law & Order, snuggled up with her boys, feeding them lots of treats! She was an animal lover through and through and it showed in the way she cared for Max and Milo.

Nancy is predeceased by her Father, Joseph Daigle and wife, Claire, and Mother, Annette Daigle (King). Along with Uncle, Jim Castle, of Naples, Florida, and Aunt, Pat King, of Skowhegan. She is survived by her son, Wade Walker and wife, Kati, of Cornville and their four children, Kamdyn, Owen, Raegan, and Remi. Her brothers, Bruce Daigle and wife, Tracey, of Zephyrhills, Florida and Brian Daigle and wife, Barbara, of Cornville. Her special Uncle, Norman King, of Skowhegan, and Aunt, Sandra “Nannie” Castle, of Naples, Florida.

Wade and Kati would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for their Uncle Brian and Aunt Barbara for all of their love and support throughout the entirety of this process and beyond, and for all of the loving care they freely gave to Nancy at the end of her life.

A graveside burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan, later in the spring, where she will be laid to eternal rest with her mom.
