Robert William Wilson, 89, of Belgrade Maine passed away on February 4th, 2026 at his home with his family by his side. 

Robert was born in Houston, Texas on January 29, 1937 to Edward Floyd Wilson and Ida Mae Pickle.

He went to school in Dallas, Texas and after school he joined the Marine Corps where he moved to Maine and worked at Bass Shoe in Wilton. 

He enjoyed fishing, bowling, camping, going to casinos and spending time with his family. 

Robert is survived by his wife Donna of 47 years; his sons Danny and wife Betty of Belgrade, and Keith and daughter Debbie of Texas; his daughter Diane Folsom and husband Mike of Fairfield; his grandchildren, Christopher Folsom and his wife Taylor, Makayla Harrington and her husband Hunter, Megan Wilson and her partner Benjamin, Madison Wilson, Michael Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Charlotte Wilson, Coleson Wilson, and Shawn, Richard, Cindy and Zoe Clasen; his special bonus grandchildren Janet and Charlie Elliot, seven great grandchildren, Ella, Emmitt, Jace, Nathan, Madison, Heidi, and Justin; his sister Vicki Winkler and her husband Alan of Texas and his brother Dwayne Elem of Idaho.

He was predeceased by his parents Edward Wilson, Ida Pickle and John Wesley and Louise Elem, his brothers Buster Wilson and Donald Elem, and his sister Wanda Elem. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
