John “Jack” Sincyr, born October 31, 1961, in Skowhegan, Maine, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jack spent most of his life in Millinocket, where he built deep roots, lasting friendships, and a life centered on love and family. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Erin Gee, with whom he shared 31 devoted years together. Their bond was strong and enduring, and they spent the majority of their lives side by side in Millinocket.

Jack is survived by his mother, Bettey Oliver, and her partner, Vernon Jordan; his father, John Sincyr, and his wife, Joanne; his brothers, Troy and Jason; his sister, Shelly Grass; and his sisters-in-law, Shannon Crowell and Kristen Beers. He is also survived by his daughter, Alisha Davis, and her husband, Wade, and his cherished granddaughters, Zoey and Hadley. Jack leaves behind several nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Jack’s close friend, Pete Barnett, for his friendship and support throughout Jack’s life and battle with cancer. They also wish to thank the palliative care team at Eastern Maine Medical Center for their compassionate care during Jack’s final weeks.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date for the spring of 2026.
