Katherine Ann Foster passed away on December 19th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Kathie was born on October 24, 1955, in Portland, Maine. She spent most of her life in the Portland area, where she built many cherished friendships and maintained close ties with her extended family.

In her later years, she moved to Mechanic Falls, to reside with her son Allan and his wife Amanda 

Kathie enjoyed long gossip sessions, Subway sandwiches, Sunkist soda, and all things junk food. She never liked to miss an episode of The Young and the Restless- 

So much so that All doctor appointments and treatments were scheduled around “her shows”. 

Every call with Kathie included a FaceTime she disliked regular phone calls and would often ask “why can’t I see you. ?”

Kathie was one of eight children born to Frederick and Emma (Young) Buckley.

She is survived by her two sons, Allan Walsh and his wife Amanda of Mechanic Falls, and Kenneth Walsh and his significant other Tanya of Lewiston; and by her daughter, Barbara Huntington of Lewiston. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Kathie is further survived by her sisters, Barbara, Sheila and Diane as well as many nieces and nephews. 

This Christmas Kathie is reunited with her daughter Erica, whom she has missed greatly.
