In 1990, I was living in Thorndike in my parents' house trying to pretend I was grown up. Tracy and I were going to be huge rock stars and we would hang out all the time recording our music. Even though i was an obnoxious kid, Ed was always patient and nice to me. One night I was hanging out late at the Knights' and Ed was coming home from work with subs. Bev had him bring me one too, because apparently I was never going to leave. He did and, as usual, he was patient and gracious and accepting. They were my second parents and I loved them.
I'm grateful that my wife and I got the opportunity to visit them on 2023. My wife got to meet Ed, Bev and Tracy for the first time and I got to reconnect with them again. Ed was one of my favorite people on earth and I'll miss him. And to Bev and Tracy. I love you guys.
