Lydia May Landry Obituary

Lydia May Landry,78, passed away on August 17, 2025, at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Waterville Maine from complications of CHF. She was born on January 5, 1947, to Ethel (Moore) and Donald Dyer.


She was raised in Clinton Maine and graduated from Clinton High School Class of 1965. She went on to work at the Winslow Poultry Plant where she met her husband, Phillip A. Landry and they wed on May 28, 1966, and moved to North Vassalboro to raise their family.


Lydia worked as a housekeeper at St. Bridget’s Church, a personal caretaker, housekeeping at the Holiday Inn and retired as a direct support assistant from Goodwill Industries in 2012.


In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, going to the casino and traveling. Her favorite vacation spot was Hawaii.


She is predeceased by her husband in 1991, her parents, infant twin sisters, brother Eldon and sister Linda.


She is survived by her children Bonnie Colby (Kevin) of Canaan, Phillip Landry (Dorian) of North Vassalboro and Serena Barrett (Geoffrey) of Winslow, her grandchildren Melinda Colby, Haeden and Riley Landry, and Haylee Barrett. She is also survived by her sister Sherrie Dyer and brother Charles Dyer.


A private burial will be held at St. Francis Cemetery in Waterville, Maine


Her family would like to thank the staff at Oak Grove Nursing home, especially Dan, Brennan and Mike, for the wonderful care they provided. We’d also like to thank Beacon Hospice for the support they gave.
