Brent Allen Jordan, 74, passed away on June 10, 2025, on his birthday, at his home in the loving arms of his wife, Gloria J. Jordan, after a long illness.

Brent was born on 6/10/51 in Bangor Maine, the son of Roland F. Jordan and Roberta Dinsmore Jordan. He was a graduate of Hampden Academy where he played basketball and enjoyed hanging with his friends. He joined the National Air Guard in 1970-1975, where he worked in Personnel Administration. Soon after leaving the Guard, he began working for the Bangor phone company, where he worked for 30 years, retiring in 1996 as the Staff Director of Engineering Integration Systems. Brent continued to be a contract engineer for Verizon for many years after his retirement.

In 1959, Brent’s mother, Roberta, married Frank Blaisdell, who became a loving stepfather to Brent and the rest of the family. Brent said he was brought up in a great supportive family, who taught him respect for others and right from wrong.

In 2003, Brent married Gloria and moved to China Lake, Maine, where they both enjoyed boating and hosting barbecues inviting many friends and family members. Brent and Gloria traveled yearly to Aruba, the Grand Caymans

and different cruises. In 2017, Brent and Gloria moved to North Carolina due to his health issues. However, in 2019, Maine called Brent and Gloria home and they built a house in Sidney, Maine.

Brent is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, of 23 years, his daughters Tami and her husband Dennis Tracy of Leland, North Carolina and Tricia and her husband Jon Jolin of Mebane, North Carolina, his sister, Brenda and her husband Doug Blaisdell of Clifton Park, New York, stepdaughter Melanie and her husband Shawn Dowd of Richmond, , stepson Tony and his wife

Jennifer Routhier of South China, a sister-in-law , Margaret, grandchildren Katie, Jordan, Mitchell, Brady, Gunnar, Maxx and Kaden, a nephew and nieces and special friends , Jimmy Scheid and Mike Jennings. His rescue pup Kirbi who was his Baby boy. Brent was predeceased by his parents, Stepfather Frank, his sister, Sandy and his brother, Larry.

The family thanks the Maine General Hospital Palliative Care and Hospice teams who took loving care of Brent and gave so much support to Gloria.

A celebration of life will be held sometime this summer. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to The Sidney Food Bank or The Waterville Humane Society in his memory. He was a big supporter of both of these charities.
