Joline Maxim Obituary

Joline Maxim, affectionately known as “Auntie,” passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 3, 2025, at the Maine Medica Center CICU after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure. She was 69 years old.

Born on October 18, 1955, to Martin (“Tin-a-mite”) and Amy (Weber) Maxim. Joline grew up in Chesterville, Maine, and graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1974.

Joline dedicated many years to running a daycare out of her home, where the children she cared for became extended family. Her generous heart and nurturing spirit touched many lives. She was a talented knitter, crafting beautiful Afghans and mittens that she shared with those around her, and she was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots.

Joline is survived by her beloved family, including her niece Amy Bouchard and husband Scott, Great-nephew Tristan Bouchard, great-niece Ashley Henry and husband Cody, and their children Luke and Chevell of Industry, Maine. She is also survived by Jessica Morneault and Chandler of Bangor, Maine, Stephen Wing and family, and Dana Wing of Industry, Maine.

She was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Amy Maxim, and her best friend, Diane (Farrington) Wing.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the CICU team at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, for the compassionate care they provided to Joline and her loved ones.

A celebration of life will be held at the Industry Town Hall on May 18 from 1 to 3 p.m.

As Joline believed, “Family isn’t whose blood you carry; it’s wo you loved and who loved you back.” She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
