Obituary of Gregory Jackson Daily

Gregory Jackson Daily, age 66, of Topsham, Maine died at home on March 7, 2025. The son of William Welch Daily and Joyce Jackson Daily, Greg grew up in Pittsfield, ME. Greg was raised in a community and family where he felt loved and confident. Greg attended the Marie Bradford School where he found lifelong friendships. He felt successful in working in the wood harvesting program of Sebasticook Farms and was given a community service award from Skill, Inc. Throughout his life, Gregory would often reminisce about his time in school, participating in the Special Olympics, and the Pittsfield Egg Festival.

 

He felt a sense of pride in living independently, taking care of his home, driving his truck, helping others, being a cherished friend and brother, and an uncle to his loving nieces and nephews. Greg had a passion for music and movies, evident by his extensive collection. 

 

Greg moved to Topsham in 2007 to be closer to his sister and family. He shared the later part of his life with her and her partner Mike Delong (deceased). Greg is survived by his sister Janet Daily of Topsham, ME, brothers Michael (Robin) Daily of Auburn, ME, David (Pam) Daily of Wesley Chapel, FL, and Douglas Daily of Leanoardtown, MD.

 

A remembrance mass was provided by Father Vincent Daily on March 9. A private graveside committal will be done at Pittsfield Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org/get-involved-now/donate | 800.272.3900
