Betty was one of the very first people I met when my husband and our two boys moved into Penobscot. We lived in Nellie Varnum's home at the very end of the road that runs by the Chocolate Church. When she found out that I played the piano, she encouraged me to play for the school plays and that was the beginning of a very long friendship. She was so much fun to be around. She was always looking for ways to get folks involved in church and school activities. And she was my confidante, kept secrets close to her heart. I could write a book full of my wonderful memories of Betty but just suffice it to say she was one great lady! And I know that I will see her again! You can count on that! :-)

Our hearts fill with gratitude for having known and having worked with Betty at the Penobscot church. She was definitely a faithful servant, not only to church but to family & community as well. Our memories bring to mind an Everready Bunny, full of energy and always willing to help. She definitely was an inspiration for Penobscot youth.

What can you say about Betty? She was amazing with amazing energy. She loved the nursing home folks and was always ready to cook a dinner for them at church or for a picnic at her home. She loved everyone, especially the kids. I know,I'm miss her until we all meet again. Don Loncto charter member "the lunch bunch". An inspiration to all she came in contact with.
